We will spend our Saturdays seeking out every garage sale within a ten-mile radius.
We will critque the bargains and say "oh, remember this, my grandmother used to have one of these!"
We will grocery shop all about town, deli samples at each stop.
We will make promises to each other: never wear plastic rain bonnets, never wear nylon knee-hi's with a dress, and always keep a pen & paper next to our beds so we won't forget those night-time thoughts.
We will have a cup of tea at dusk, gossip a little & giggle a lot. We will do all these things and more, my friends and I, when we grow old and wear purple.
