Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, or, Jean , as she is known to everyone at the North Pole, live in a cozy little house at 101 Glitter Way at Santa's North Pole Village. Here the busy couple can relax from their hectic year-round schedule of organizing lists and toy-making for all the boys and girls around the world. Santa, the CEO of the toy manufacturing division, also watches over the busy elves, who can be rascals at times. Jean is the keeper of all the records and it is because of her that each child gets the toys he or she requested. At the end of the day, Santa and Jean retreat, hand in hand, to their warm little house and while Santa sits in his big red chair in front of the fireplace, Jean makes him one of his favorite meals. Mrs. Claus not only keeps excellent records at work, but she is known throughout the region as one of the best cooks! On Christmas Eve, Jean is in charge of making sure that all the dolls are ready to put into Santa's sleigh. She checks their dresses, makes sure their hair is combed, bows are straight, shoes are tied. She particularly likes the baby dolls with their fat little cheeks and knitted caps. The dolls accessories include a pretty pink bassinet that Mrs. Claus designed and a painted chest for the doll's tea set. With Jean Claus in charge, all the little girls can be assured that they will wake up to a very special Christmas! Santa Claus has gathered the boys toys and is giving them a final once-over. Toy soldiers and cannons poking out of Santa's pocket will find their way into little boys stockings. Swords, airplanes, cars and trucks, after being discovered under the Christmas tree, will provide many exciting imaginative hours of play. Santa Claus and Jean have checked over all the toys and feel assured that everything is just perfect! In they go, then, games and puzzles, balls and bugles, dolls and trucks, heaped high and tucked into every corner of Santa's sleigh. A hug and peck on the cheek from Jean is all Santa needs to begin his long night's journey around the world. And while Santa may get cold and a little dirty tonight (from going down all those chimneys), he knows when he returns home the logs will be burning in the fireplace and his little house will be filled with the delectable aroma of fresh baked pastries. And Jean, his beloved wife of more years that he can remember, will be waiting there to greet him with a big smile and another hug. Merry Christmas to all!
