In the late 1800s, as young Daniel Swarovski watched crystal being cut by hand in his father's small factory, he envisioned a more precise method of crystal cutting. By 1892, Swarovski had a patent in hand and a machine on the drawing board – a device that made it possible to shape crystal to an incredible degree of perfection and ushered in a new era in crystal art. The Swarovski company in the Austrian Alps has become a glittering example of excellence – and a fitting partner for Goebel. For the past two years, we've introduced mixed media figurines featuring Swarovski details as brilliant focal points.
