Tawas Point, 1852
Item # 12716 Originally built in 1852 the 70' tall conical tower had to be moved in 1876. Shifting sands caused the Tawas Point, on which the lighthouse sits, to be move more than a mile. The light is still active and sits at the end of the peninsula that separates Tawas Bay from Lake Huron.
