Inside the carnation we find that Lord Byron has left the Northwest region of America and taken a bus to the Southwest. He arrives at a parade of Carnation covered floats where he spots a mysterious, beautiful bug. Knowing that image is everything in America, he puts on his best bow tie and buys a corsage to impress her. Alas, she disappears in the crowd.
